Who are we and why are we here?
A woman called Selena enjoyed being green. After seeing
an aplication online about a green program channel 4 were making dubbed
"eco-challenge" she decided it was the program for her and applied.
Meanwhile a biology student called Lawrence, a self confessed
"green geek and recycling nut" also saw this program advertised and
decided he too was going to apply for a laugh. 3 months later Selena
met Lawrence on a dump in Croydon filming a reality TV program called
"Dumped".
After their unusual experience they went home wanting
to be more active in the green community. After a search on the
internet they found many green sites that were not linked to each other
in a community, despite trying to achieve the same goal. After a quick
brain storm, it was decided between Lawrence and Selena that they
should build the website to bring green sites together in a hub. A
quick lesson in internet technicals from their fellow "stig" Christine
led to GreenGreenGreen to be formed!
There is more to our website than meets the eye. Not
only are we here to bring the online green community together into one
big family, we are also out there to educate others in being green. We are not using this website as
a political platform and
we do not make money for personal gain. We use voluntery
donations to purchase and maintain woodland. By
doing this we will be enabling wildlife to flourish and exist without
threat for the enjoyment of future generations. The ownership will be
set up as a trust as the land has to be managed and and some expenses
are incurred by doing so. The land we own will play host to our
bush-craft education centre, as well as countryside sport that will be
allowed to use the land, but only if they show respect to the
environment.
We do offer free links from our sites to yours, but only if a link back
is established. For link criteria please go here. If you wish to
advertise your green product, company or
service then a voluntery donation is expected. Please contact us for
more details. All funds
collected will go to the purchase of our first established woodland.
